Sew & Style: Young Makers Studio
With Simone Amethyst
Wednesdays | 4:15pm – 5:15pm | Ages 6+
This 6-week creative series introduces young makers to the foundational skills needed for sewing and crafting. Before we can sew garments or soft toys, our hands need to learn how to manipulate materials and build fine motor skills - and this workshop is the perfect place to begin.
Through playful, hands-on projects, children will explore yarn, beads, paint, fabrics, weaving and wrapping techniques, and simple stitching using wool needles (large blunt needles).
Along the way they’ll develop coordination, confidence, and creative thinking.
Each week focuses on building the skills that support a lifelong love of making — all while creating joyful, imaginative projects in a supportive studio environment.
$185 | 6 week term includes GST | All art materials included.
Workshops will run 4:15 - 5:15pm Wednesday 6, 13, 20, 27 May & 3, 10 June
Workshop will be held in the Garage Studio at Bluebird House 150 Swanston Street, Geelong
