Hand-Drawn Magic: Animation Cel
Step into the world of traditional animation and discover how hand-drawn stories come to life. In this hands-on workshop, young creatives will design a background and create their own character using acetate layers - just like in a classic animation studio. Participants will explore composition, line work and storytelling while building layered scenes that reveal how movement and depth are created frame by frame.
A process-focused session that celebrates imagination and the craft of drawing. You'll create your own framed animation cel to take home.
Workshop includes:
• An expert illustration lesson exploring traditional animation techniques, layering, and visual storytelling
• Create and take home your own 5 × 7” framed artwork
• A creative skill you can continue at home - swap backgrounds and evolve your character’s story
• An immersive, hands-on experience alongside like-minded young creatives
3 hours | $80 includes GST, all Art Materials included.
