Creative Mindfulness Workshops for Adults

In the midst of busy lives, finding moments of calm, connection, and creativity can be transformative. Welcome to Creative Mindfulness—a series of cosy workshops designed as a sanctuary for adults to unwind, nurture themselves, and connect with like-minded individuals.

What to Expect

In each Creative Mindfulness session, the focus is on the present moment. You'll have the chance to gently explore various art materials, be playful and experiment each week with different mediums. No artistic experience is needed—just come ready to play, with no pressure on the end result.

These creative activities help ground participants in the here and now, allowing them to leave behind external stresses and fully engage in a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere.

Many of the techniques explored can also be used at home when you need a mindful moment in your day.

In Term 4 we will explore:

  • Bubble Art — Make bubbly, colourful artworks with watercolour, oil pastels & bubbles.

  • Beaded Plants — Create a colourful little plant with beads and wire.

  • Tear It Up! — Tear, layer and glue colourful papers into playful art.

  • Sketchy Fruit — Draw a fruit bowl with one-line, sketchy and imperfect drawings.

  • Pressed Tin Shapes — Shape, bead and decorate tin to create a hanging artwork.

  • Cosy Little Nests — Build and weave a tiny cosy nest out of wool, wire and found materials

Please note: This is a creative art-making workshop, not an art therapy or counselling group. While personal themes may emerge through the process, the focus is on artistic expression rather than therapeutic support.

JESS FULMER

Jess is a mixed media collage artist working primarily with found paper materials. Grounded in the belief that nothing is really that serious, she creates playful, story-driven artworks that celebrate all things sweet, silly, and ridiculous. Transforming paper clippings into visual jokes, narratives, and moments of chaos, her work is unapologetic in finding the funny side of things, and a reminder not to take life too seriously. With a playful and encouraging approach, Jess makes learning new creative skills feel fun, relaxed and achievable.
