"Magic Ink: Create Moving Art" with Laura Alice | TEENS/ADULTS | 6:30pm-8:00pm | 6-week series | Wednesdays Commencing 14 October | Term 4 2026
What if your ink drawings could move?
This beginner-friendly workshop series shows you how to bring your artwork to life as animated scenes that appear to float and move right off the page — no technical background or special equipment required.
You’ll explore fun ink painting techniques, learn easy ways to suggest movement in your designs, then use the magic of augmented reality to animate your finished artwork, using only your phone and a few free apps.
No experience needed but you will need a smart phone to download the app/s.
$195 per person includes all art making materials.
Workshop will run Wednesday 6:30pm - 8pm in the Meeting Room at Bluebird House 150 Swanston Street, Geelong
Dates: Wednesday 14 October to 18 November (6-weeks)

NDIS Participants: If this student will be using funds from an NDIS plan. Please contact sarahmoore@bluebirdfoundationinc.org.au for enrolment, an invoice exclusive of GST can be arranged if the activity meets the participants plan goals.
This workshop requires a minimum number of participants to run. In the unlikely event that we don't get this number of participants, we'll cancel the class and fully refund you and inform you via email

Laura Alice is an award-winning artist and creative technologist who loves finding ways to use technology to create magical connections and experiences.
Laura is an established painter, animator and creative programmer with 12+ years experience of mentoring people from all walks in life to make artistic tech accessible to all.
Laura’s international success is firmly rooted in her Geelong home town, her love for community, and her joy in helping people try new ways to express themselves.
