Bluebird Foundation believes in the power of the arts to change lives. We are a for-purpose organisation with deep roots in the Geelong community and a big vision for what creativity can do. We are not a large organisation. But we have a big heart, and an unshakeable belief that creativity belongs to everyone.
Why it matters
Every person, regardless of age, culture, or circumstance, deserves the chance to express themselves, discover their potential, and feel connected to others. But for too many in our region, that chance is just out of reach.
The path to creative and cultural life is blocked by financial pressure, isolation, or systems that were never designed with them in mind.
The cost of exclusion is real. Growth stalls. Mental health suffers. Communities drift apart.
Creative participation does something powerful. It turns strangers into neighbours and isolation into belonging. It builds trust, fosters resilience, and gives people a way to express, to heal, and to find each other.

What it takes
Bluebird's programs are free or low-cost to participants. That is a deliberate choice. No one should be excluded because they can't afford to be there.
But it means that every year, Bluebird must raise more than $650,000 to keep the work alive.
Every contribution matters. Every dollar goes directly toward ensuring that creativity remains accessible to those who need it most.
