"Character Illustration" with Melissa O'Shea | 8-12yrs | 10am-12noon | Wednesday 21st January 2026 | SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAM
Unleash your imagination in this hands-on character design workshop. Led by artist Melissa O’Shea, this fun and interactive session is perfect for young creatives who love to draw, invent stories, and bring characters to life.
If you have joined this workshop previously or just starting your illustration journey there will be something for all.
All materials provided including a visual diary to take home.
Please bring a snack and a drink bottle.
$55 incl GST. (2-hour workshop)
In this hands-on session, kids will:
✨ Design their own unique character for a story, game, or comic
✨ Learn drawing techniques and character-building skills
✨ Play a fun character game to spark creativity
✨ Use a mix of materials including pencils, fine liners, and markers
Whether they're into fantasy, comics, or Dungeons & Dragons, this workshop will help them bring their imagination to life!
Workshop will run 10-12noon Wednesday 21st January 2026 at Bluebird House (Cnr Carr & Swanston Streets, South Geelong).

Bookings are non-refundable but, should you be unable to attend, your place can be transferred to a friend. Please contact us if you should need to transfer your booking.

This workshop requires a minimum number of participants to run. In the unlikely event that we don't get this number of participants, we'll cancel the class and fully refund you and inform you via email.

Melissa is a local artist who enjoys exploring mediums and concepts of all kinds. Her passions include traditional art forms, such as drawing, painting and charcoal and also digital art and 3D printing.
