Cody Anderson

Cody Anderson is an Australian comic book artist, illustrator, videographer, painter, musician, and generally creative type. He has a passion for storytelling in it’s many forms, and aims to bring story into everything he creates.

Having been passionate about drawing since he can remember, Cody ramped up his artistic self-education after high school, illustrating the likes of band artwork, wine labels, poetry books and more. Throughout this time his interest in comic books and sequential storytelling grew rapidly, leading him to illustrate his first published comic for New London Comics in 2015, and later, multiple stories for Australia’s premier comic and graphic novel publishing house, Gestalt Publishing. In 2017/18, Cody worked as a Background Artist for TV animation at Studio Moshi, and shortly after, developed his love for film-making and videography, creating multiple music videos for The Kite Machine and even Bluebird’s very own MusicSpace band, The Rockheads!

Throughout all of it, Cody has been performing as a percussionist and singer with his brother Levi Anderson and a list of other amazing artists from Geelong’s music scene. Over the last decade, Cody has learnt and relearnt the importance of finding joy in art and creative expression. He believes that connecting with the joy of the creative act itself is at the core of finding fulfilment in it. Over the past few years, Cody has focussed on strengthening his own love for creativity, all-the-while developing a passion for helping others to cultivate the same.
