Fashion & Accessory Design Course for Young Stitches
Join us for a hands-on 6-week journey into the world of fashion and accessory design.
*Using a strengths-based approach, each participant works on their own individual sewing project, supported, encouraged, and celebrated every step of the way.
Each week you may explore:
Jewellery Making
Craft your own unique pieces, use beads and resin to show off your personal style.
Hand and Machine Sewing
Practise your sewing skills while designing and making* a roll-up pencil case, cushion cover or a simple fashion garment.
Fashion Drawing
Bring your ideas to life by sketching out designs and planning your creations.
Whether you're a budding designer or just love getting creative, this course is the perfect place to explore your style and learn new skills.
$210 incl. GST and all materials
Workshops will run 4:00pm - 5:30pm Monday 11th, 18th, 25th August 1st, 8th September. (6-weeks)
Classes will be held in the Garage Studio at Bluebird House Cnr Carr & Swanston Streets, South Geelong.

Bookings are non-refundable but, should you be unable to attend, your place can be transferred to a friend. Please contact us if you should need to transfer your booking.
NDIS Participants: If this student will be using funds from an NDIS plan. Please contact sarahmoore@bluebirdfoundationinc.org.au for enrolment and an invoice exclusive of GST.
This workshop requires a minimum number of participants to run. In the unlikely event that we don't get this number of participants, we'll cancel the class and fully refund you and inform you via email.
Local artist, Simone Amethyst
Simone Amethyst
Simone Amethyst has over 20 years of experience in the fashion industry, specialising in bridalwear and alterations. She holds a Diploma of Fashion Design and brings a wealth of practical knowledge to her sewing workshops.
With a gentle, encouraging approach, Simone supports young makers to build skills and confidence as they work on their own creative projects. She also brings experience working with children and in disability support, creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all.
Join Simone to explore sewing, fashion accessories and personal style in this hands-on workshop designed especially for young stitches.
