"Paper Pieces: Creating an Artists Book" a Workshop for Adults
Set aside time each week to get those creative ideas out of your mind and into your sketchbook.
Paper Pieces is a four-week workshop for adults who want to carve out time for themselves and their creative process. This is a chance to be around other creatives as you explore, shape and practice your work. You'll be invited to draw, paint and play with colour, texture, form and paper folding as you allow your unique style and voice to take shape in your sketchbook.
Whether you're building your sketchbook practice or simply looking to try something new, this creative series invites you to explore:
Watercolour painting and intuitive mark-making
Collage and visual storytelling
Paper folding techniques including Victorian love notes, zines and paper puzzles.
This workshop is not looking for an amazing finished piece, but allows for the freedom, the mess and the lack of perfection that an 'Artist's book' can hold. You’ll leave each session with pages full of colour, curiosity, and a growing sense of creative confidence.
Workshop will run Monday 6:30pm - 8pm at Bluebird House (Cnr Carr & Swanston Streets, South Geelong).
August 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th (4-weeks)
