"Watercolour Basics" with Bronte Stead | ADULTS | Thursdays 7-8.30pm | Eight week series commencing on 26th July 2018

WATERCOLOUR BASICS is a program that teaches the skills of wet and dry watercolour painting as well as various creative techniques. Basic drawing skills will help but are not essential.

From landscape scenes to self portraits, we will create a new piece each week.

Bronte Stead is a local artist who loves to paint and draw, his detailed illustration work can be found in the popular children’s book, The Broken Horse.

Workshops run from 7pm – 8.30pm Thursdays at Bluebird House (Cnr Carr & Swanston Streets, South Geelong), commencing 26th July until 13th September for Term Three 2018.

Subject to minimum numbers.

Workshop Outcomes:

  • Basic drawing skills

  • Wet and dry watercolour painting

  • Brush, water and ink control

  • Working from light to dark

  • Understanding light and shadow

  • Work with layers and textures

  • Various creative techniques to enhance your work

  • Produce a collection of work to take home

With over 20 years experience in the creative industry, illustrating, designing, photographing, writing and teaching, Bronte brings his passion for detail to life in this great workshop.

You can look forward to a relaxed environment where everyone, no matter their skill level, is welcome. Participants are encouraged to express themselves creatively and to have fun!
