— Rach Brennan

Popular folk/rock songstress Rach Brennan creates something that resonates and connects with all listeners. The 23-year-old singer songwriter echoes her Father's Irish song-alongs with playful and percussive based ditties that have audiences on their feet.

Releasing two EPs in 2014, ‘Chasing the Sun’ and ‘Don’t Watch Me Go’, Rach was awarded with The Geelong Folk Club’s Rick Merrigan Award and Torrent This’s Female Artist of the Year award. Having played festivals across the state including Queenscliff Music Festival and Port Fairy Folk Festival, Rach toured throughout South Australia and Tasmania before taking her music to the UK and Europe twice in 2015, sharing her passion through intimate and engaging performances.

Supported by Queenscliff Music Festival’s Emerging Artist Grant, the Geelong local spent 2016 developing and nurturing a debut album, which saw her working collaboratively with her band 'The Pines'. Due for launch late 2017, the artist describes the sophomore release as ‘a toast to early adulthood’, a record penned as a nod to a closed chapter. Rach Brennan & The Pines share their stories through energetic and thoughtful performances, driven by impressive four part vocal harmony.
