While most primary school art programs have an outcome-based or skills-based focus, in these workshops the focus is turned inward, giving young artists the artistic tools needed to articulate their own perspective on the world through the art of creative journalling.

Using a series of exercises such as mindful drawing, emotional colour spectrums and expressive mark-making, they will experience a wide range of interesting artistic starting points and concepts, developing a sketchbook that is a creative safe place.

Each young artist will create a beautiful, unique sketchbook journal using bookbinding and book covering skills that they can treasure.

Teaching older children to express their emotions and experiences through their art is incredibly empowering and promotes healthy minds, healthy communication and can equip them with a sense of mindfulness.
