In recent years, Street Art has evolved into an empowering and transformative force in urban landscape, and a legitimate form of public creative expression. With the ability to gift the creator with both a voice and an audience for their experiences and inspiration, it also transforms bleak spaces into places full of life and colour.

Throughout this, a few key female public artists such as Swoon, ELLE, Miso and Lucy Lucy have emerged with world-wide recognition for the beauty and power of their walls. However, street art culture remains a mainly male-dominant and at times, female-negative space.

It is our wish to empower girls with the creative skills and inspiration associated with street art culture and art forms, creating a safe space where they can express their experiences and opinions openly, be guided through drawing and craft techniques, and turn this into personal art forms.
