Di has been teaching ukulele in Geelong for the last three years and started her own business "School of Uke" at the beginning of 2018. She offers private weekly lessons on Monday and Friday out of the Music Studio at Bluebird House as well as her mobile uke lessons at student’s homes in Moriac on a Wednesday after school.

After moving to Geelong in 2015, the Ukulele started to play a major role in her own musical life, so Di decided that she wanted to share her love of this incredible instrument with everyone who wanted to learn. Di is training with the Canadian Ukulele Virtuoso, James Hill, through his Teacher Certification Program and is a qualified Level 2 Teacher and has just completed Level 3.

Di is also an experienced performer. One of her favourite memories is playing and singing My Island Home with the group “Ukestralia” at the Hawaii Ukulele Festival in July 2016.  She loves to encourage her students to get up and perform at the mid year and end of year concerts.

Di volunteers in the Children’s Ward at Geelong hospital playing the uke and singing for the patients and also leaves a couple of ukuleles in the ward for any kids who might want to have a play during their stay at the hospital.
